City of Arvada Proclaims September Hunger Action Month

It’s official!  At their September 16 meeting, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Arvada proclaimed that September 2019 be designated as Hunger Action Month.

Hunger Action Month is a nationwide awareness campaign in connection with Feeding America encouraging people to take action against hunger all month long by donating food and money to local food banks, volunteering their time to fight hunger and by spreading the word and educating others about the issue of hunger.

What will you do to take action against hunger? Here are a few ways you can help: Buy a cupcake, volunteer, go for a run, make a donation or attend a car show.

Pantry Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Friday: Noon to 3:45 p.m.
Wednesday: Noon to 5:45 p.m.
Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
THE PANTRY IS ALWAYS CLOSED THE 2nd WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH.
