The Impact of Our New Home

One year ago this month, Community Table opened the doors to our new home in Arvada at 4600 West 60th Avenue. What began as a bold vision to create a larger, more welcoming space for our neighbors has become a vibrant community hub where food, help, and hope come together every day.

The move was about more than a building. It was about creating the capacity to meet growing needs, expand services, strengthen partnerships, and ensure that every person who turns to Community Table is welcomed with dignity and compassion.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, volunteers, community partners, and the City of Arvada, that vision has become a reality.

Expanded Support for Neighbors in Need

Over the past year, Community Table has welcomed more than 2,400 new families, representing nearly 7,100 household members, through our doors.

Our larger facility has transformed the way we serve our community. The expanded Client Choice Pantry offers more food options and a more comfortable shopping experience. Increased warehouse and storage space allow us to receive, rescue, store, and distribute food more efficiently than ever before. Dedicated program and meeting spaces have created new opportunities to address the root causes of food insecurity through education, employment support, health resources, and connections to community services.

The result is a stronger, more responsive Community Table — one that is better equipped to help neighbors facing today’s challenges while preparing for tomorrow’s needs.

A Place for Partnerships

One of the greatest benefits of our new home has been the ability to bring more services under one roof.

Our Community Room has hosted quarterly blood drives, free pet care clinics for the pets of unsheltered individuals, diabetes education classes, financial literacy workshops, and meetings for local nonprofits and community groups.

Dedicated partner offices have also enabled us to expand access to critical resources, including Adams County Human Services, Archwell Health services for older adults, Medicare navigation, nutrition counseling, RTD transportation assistance, medical equipment support, expanded tax preparation services, and more.

These partnerships help ensure that neighbors can access a wide range of services in one convenient location, reducing barriers and strengthening our community safety net.

More Reasons to Smile

While we are proud of everything we have accomplished during our first year, two programs stand out as particular sources of excitement.

Our GED Tutoring and Test Preparation Program continues to grow, welcoming more students and volunteer tutors while celebrating the achievement of our tenth graduate. Every diploma earned represents new opportunities for employment, higher education, and financial stability.

We are equally encouraged by the success of our Senior Shopping Hour, launched in March to provide a calmer, more supportive shopping experience for older adults. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Participation continues to grow each week, and the program has been so successful that we are exploring opportunities to expand the concept to include veterans in the future.

Food. Help. Hope.

Perhaps most importantly, our new home has strengthened our ability to fulfill our mission of providing food, help, and hope.

Every can of food donated, every volunteer hour contributed, every dollar invested, and every partnership formed has helped make this first year a success. Together, we have created far more than a building. We have created a place where neighbors find nourishment, support, connection, and opportunity.

As we celebrate this milestone, we remain focused on the future. The need for food assistance and supportive services continues to grow across our community, and we are grateful to have a facility that positions Community Table to meet those needs for years to come.

Thank you for helping make our first year in our new home such a success. We look forward to continuing this journey — and this impact — with you.
